To Strike or Not to Strike ...

Yes, I have become totally French.  I am now officially on strike!

Having found a part-time job teaching English to business people last November, things have now evolved to the point where my fellow teachers and I have decided to go on strike.

We aren't actually asking for a great deal - just a contract which conforms to French law.

It's definitely not the best paid profession in France, but.... when you have several major points against you.... i.e. you're a foreigner, you're a woman, you're a woman AND you're over 35, you have children, you're French is not parfait..... well, let's face it, you should take what you can get!

If you would like to follow this greve.... here is the link

Welcome to Another Life

ANOTHER LIFE

How do other people live in a foreign country?
How do you manage when you arrive without a word of their language?

Welcome to my nightmare did eventually turn into Welcome to my extraordinary life and eventually into Welcome to my normal life....

I do have another blog site which is aimed at expats who live in Lyon, France - my adopted home city.
Here you will find various things that are happening, some photos and some musings.....
